Empowerment is at the root of joy. That can take you anywhere. When you learn to direct your attention to joy, inside and out, your confidence grows. Your body relaxes. You feel whole. And you think more clearly.

Joy can provide you with the strength to feel all of your feelings and the courage to welcome them with love. There's joy in the clarity that it's time to take a break, even from grief. There can be joy, too, in feeling grief all the way through ... when you're ready. Joy is about choice. It's about satisfaction. It's about purpose.

Joy is gratitude that grows deeper with your attention. Joy fuels laughter and play, in movement and words. Joy is a wellspring in the desert, and it calls for our attention. If we ignore this calling, we grow thirsty and dull.

Tending the wellspring of joy, we ask less from others and receive more in solitude. Our demands are fewer and our patience with demands grows.

1.25 hour Zoom sessions (all are recorded) include a check in to reflect on how students are applying their practices to real life, an illustrated presentation on the topic, opportunities to practice and/or discuss with a friend, and a check out to clarify learning. Opportunities for further expansion of your practice are offered weekly and encouraged daily.

Included in this class:

  • Access to class materials is available on Podia, including reading and printed practices. A Participant Plan is offered as an optional guide before each session. Recordings will be accessible for 6 months.

  • A workbook with a summary of practices will be shared at the end of the series.

  • Opportunities to find a buddy for accountability and practice.

  • The ability to “drop in” on a different class live, if room, to make up a session you miss during the same week.

  • A bonus recorded meditation for priming.

  • Access to Taste of Membership with a Zoom link for a monthly Q and A with Kristin for the duration of the series.

Class size is limited to 8. Contact me directly if you would like to over-pay to bring the limit down in your particular class for more individualized attention. When enough people offer some over-pay to “fill” a seat, I will let you know, receive payment, and decrease available seats for that session.

Classes begin the week of January 8th, 2024 and end the week of February 26th, 2024.

This class is the pre-requisite to join the ongoing weekly Joy Together community.
